Ricky Rodriguez and his car

Ricky joined First Abilene FCU when he was 16. His mother and father were members and thought it would be a good idea to start teaching Ricky financial responsibility early in life. The staff first taught Ricky how to manage his checking account and then his loan officer, Misty, helped him with a Shared Secure MasterCard. The Shared Secure MasterCard helped him not go over his credit limit and build his credit so that he was able qualify for a car loan, without a co-signer, at the age of 18. His credit continues to improve and he has now upgraded to the Classic MasterCard. One of the most important things he has learned is even though you have the money and credit availability, that does not mean you have to spend it. “First Abilene has been great to me and my gamily, and the staff is great,” said Ricky. Ricky was born and raised in Abilene and moved to Austin in 2011. He works for Heart Hospital of Austin and First Abilene FCU continues to take care of all of his financial needs!
