New President/CEO Named
The First Abilene Federal Credit Union Board of Directors announces the selection of Mr. Troy Kyle as the organization’s next President/Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Faye Smith, who retired March 31, 2016.
“Troy is an exceptional leader and technologist, passionate about our mission and committed to our principles and values,” said Zane Dennis, Chairman of the Board. “We are extremely pleased to have him join First Abilene Federal Credit Union.”
“I am excited about joining the First Abilene team as we celebrate 57 years operating as an association of people coming together for a common purpose – namely to improve the quality of our members’ lives by providing professional personalized products and services to turn their financial dreams into realities,” Kyle added.
Kyle has over 16 years of senior executive experience in the credit union industry, with 11 of that in a senior management capacity, including most recently as Vice President at Public Employees Credit Union in Austin, Texas. Previously, as Senior Vice President at Capitol Federal Credit Union, Kyle was the key strategist in its net worth management recovery as well as implementing technologies that simplified member services. He has led various areas through his career, including Marketing, Product Management, Electronic Delivery, and Sales & Branch Operations.
Troy is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Classics and Classic Civilization and Computer Science. He is also active on two tech advisory boards, and previously participated with Q2eBanking’s Collaborate, Fiserv DDS Advisory, and served on the Catalyst Corporate Council.
Troy and his wife, April, have been married for 10 years and have a 6 year old son, Sebastian.
